Why I Write

I write to relate to the world around me. I write to find words for my feelings, to reflect on my previous mistakes and triumphs, and find common connections between me, my experiences, and everyone else in the world. I write to connect with others.

I write to create and to put my imagination to good use.

I write because it is like visiting old friends when I re-read my written scenes or entire stories. I write to escape, but unlike when I read, I have total control of the world I choose to inhabit. Often times spending an entire day writing (eight hours or so) is as invigorating and restoring as spending the day playing soccer in a tournament. I write to restore faith in myself.

I write to tell stories, the goal always to entertain, and allow my readers to take the same journey of reflection I took as the writer.

Success! You're on the list.
